Nigeria Foundation is an organization rallying Nigeria around a common commitment to national reconciliation to build a common future.
What is the foundation’s mission?
The Nigeria Foundation seeks to kindle a shared sense of commitment to the Nigeria idea by rallying the country behind a formal acknowledgment of the pain and suffering of the civil war as a necessary first step towards national healing and reconciliation.
Is Nigeria Foundation a non-profit?
Nigeria Foundation is a 501c3 not-for-profit as certified by the Internal Revenue Service. Contributions are tax-deductible under US law. Different rules may apply in other jurisdictions.
How is Nigeria Foundation funded?
Nigeria Foundation is funded primarily by its promoters and through donations from members of the public and institutions.

How will my donation be used?
To further the objecives of the foundation, which primarily are to build a center for memory and reconciliation, to conduct a public campaign to make January 15 of each year a public holiday to be known in Nigeria as a 'Day of Reconciliation', and to convene, or cause to be convened, public dialogues around memory and reconciliation and a common future for all Nigerians.
