OUR MISSION

The Nigeria Foundation seeks to kindle a shared sense of commitment to the Nigeria idea by rallying the country behind a formal acknowledgment of the pain and suffering of the civil war as a necessary first step towards national healing and reconciliation.

OUR GOALS

Build a Center for Memory and Reconciliation, a monument at once symbolic and practical embodiment of our aspiration to forge a renewed sense of common purpose.

Campaign for the proclamation of January 15— a day marking the formal end of the Biafra War as well as the anniversary of the first coup— a public holiday to be known as ‘Day of Reconciliation.

Create public programs aimed at addressing the many fractures in Nigerian society.
